About Leyun Yuan
Hello, my name is Leyun Yuan, and I am currently a senior at the University of San Diego, pursuing a degree in Marketing with a minor in Communication Studies and Visual Arts. Throughout my four years of education at USD, I have dedicated myself to both academic studies and extracurricular activities. I am actively involved in various student organizations on campus and have taken on leadership roles in some of them. For example, as Director of Marketing at the American Marketing Association (AMA), I created content and digital art, managed email marketing, and led flyer promotion campaigns. I have also served as Secretary for the Less Than Three Dance Crew, which has given me the opportunity to organize numerous successful events and develop invaluable skills while creating lasting memories with friends.

I was born and raised in Shenzhen, a city located in Guangdong Province in the south of China. As an international student for four years, I have made a conscious effort to immerse myself in American culture while also sharing my own culture with friends and classmates. I was fortunate enough to work as an Undergraduate Assistant at the Office of International Students and Scholars during my Junior and Senior years, where I gained valuable experience and learned about achieving a work-life balance.

My interests lie in the film, video game, and entertainment industries. I believe these areas are growing and have not been significantly impacted by COVID-19, barring any political policy changes. My current goal is to start with an entry-level marketing coordinator position, focusing on marketing research, digital marketing, or brand management. With experience, I hope to grow into a managerial position. In five years, I plan to evaluate whether I will pursue graduate school based on achieving my career goals. In ten years, I intend to continue self-development and apply for jobs at my dream companies, such as Disney and MiHoYo.
